If you've already seen Ultimate X or even Dogtown and Z-Boys, you've probably experienced more than enough extreme sports docu-fun. Tamra Davis (Half Baked) adds nothing we haven't already seen to this budding genre, though it classifies such ancient sports as surfing and skiing as 'extreme.'

That's not to say there's nothing artful and/or dangerous about the work being performed by the film's subjects. Motorcycler Travis Pastrana is the highlight of the film, flying through the sky and doing impossible stunts. But the rest of the film is flat, with the same interviews (they're misunderstood but love danger) and in-your-face thrill-ride footage we've seen elsewhere. Most curious is a series of fictional vignettes breaking up the action, starring two skaters who bribe a security guard and later end up run over by a car. Spike Jonze and Beastie Boy Mike D (Davis's husband) make cameos during the strange segments.
