Interesting premise: Strapping (but broke) lad decides he'll get ahead by reinventing himself as semi-royalty, which he manages to do by simply loitering on the grounds of a British estate until an older homosexual man picks him up, gives him a bath and new clothes, and introduces him into society. It's wholly unbelievable from this point on (as he delves into a world of huslters) , though the film purports to be based on director Duncan Roy's own life. Well, if that was true, he probably wouldn't be making junk films like this one. Note: The original film appears entirely with three split-screen frames. You'll more commonly find a single-frame version (which I saw), which most critics agree is somewhat less bad. The DVD has both versions.
