The stories are all over the map. Alicia Witt tells a short piece about her first time. Kimberly Williams tells a long piece about a tryst with a Greek waiter. Most of the stories involve being spurned by the man -- whether it's a one-night stand or a long-time relationship. While they're all fictional (and I'm assuming Rodrigo García is a man), they come off as extremely real, with a good half of the actresses appearing on the verge of tears during their monologues.
Of course, some bits are better than others. Debi Mazar's rant about her husband is forgotten as soon as it ends, while Williams' travelogue is probably the high point of the movie. Deborah Unger intertwines a story about a dying dog and an abortion with little success, while the earnestness in some of the women's faces is reason enough to watch it.
This certainly isn't a movie to put on at your next get together, but for a quiet, feminine evening at home, you might find this a curious conversation piece.
