Two dysfunctional brothers hunt for hidden loot -- and there will be some grave exhuming before the hours are done. It's a comedy of the absurd, shot on black and white digital video (to make it look a little better than it normally would, at least). The comedy is hit and miss but generally it's good, and as black as it comes. Those all-too-obvious 'indie touches' get in the way more than they should, but Passing Stones, in the end, is better than most film school-class fare.
