In the space of 77 minutes, this X-rated and animated cat (a recreation of the famed Robert Crumb character) has an orgy, gets stoned (repeatedly), incites a riot, takes a long road trip, and terroristically blows up a power plant, all before admitting he had a couple of bad ideas in there. Full of animated, nude, cartoon animals and some of the most vitriolic racism (disguised as empowerment) ever put on film, Fritz the Cat is so bad that Crumb, after seeing the film, killed the character in one of his comics. He should have killed director Ralph Bakshi. The film spawned an even worse sequel.
