The Warrior

A film review by Christopher Null - Copyright © 2006 Filmcritic.com

Warriors come out and play in this story of war between China and Korea in 1375. A Korean envoy is sent to China to make peace, only to get waylaid and sent into exile. They encounter troops again and again, end up rescuing a Chinese princess (Ziyi Zhang), and try to get home. Rest assured you won't be able to follow any of this plot, as The Warrior plays out like one big roll in the dirt and one long wargame. Fans looking for that Crouching Tiger mystique won't find it here, but you will encounter dozens of guys impaled on swords and more than a few beheadings.

Aka Musa, The Warriors.
