Kissed

A film review by Christopher Null - Copyright © 2000 Filmcritic.com

Hate Hollywood? Here's your movie! Molly Parker stars as a wisp of a girl fascinated with death from a young age, so much so that she takes a job in a funeral home and soon starts banging the corpses. Her boyfriend (who knows about this little pecadillo) wants to take a stab at it himself. Meant to be an introspective look at the otherworldly states of both death and love and how they might intermingle, Kissed is instead an incomprehensible and self-absorbed mess as emotionally dead as the stiffs it liberally features. Based on the novel We So Seldom Look on Love.
