Girls Fight Tonite

A film review by Christopher Null - Copyright © 2002 Filmcritic.com

Now this is just sad. Underground boxing ring features your usual kung-fu wannabes but also specializes in "chick fights," no holds barred!

Girls Fight Tonite is roughly 90 minutes of tepid girl fistfights -- each choreographed more lamely than the last and rarely lasting more than a minute or two (even in slow-motion!) -- interspersed with the lamest of dialogue and a vain attempt at trying to develop pathos for its lead character, an abused-at-home gal with a temper of her own who can only work out those aggressions in "The Pit."

The only real claim to fame here is that the fight coach is played by C.C. Heidik, the wife of Survivor contender Brian Heidik (and who recently appeared on the show, proving unable to eat various bugs). Hmmm... Girls Eat Bugs Tonite, now that would be a movie!

Aka Chick Street Fighter.
