Cool and the Crazy
Bleargh.
Ever wonder what became of Ralph Bakshi -- who made those weird Lord of the Rings videos in the '70s along with Fritz the Cat? Well, among other atrocities he's responsible for this film, Jared Leto's first film and one of Alicia Silverstone's earlier appearances, too.
They'd probably both rather forget it.
Cool and the Crazy is every bit as bad as its title, which takes Silverstone and galpal Jennifer Blanc on a whiny ride with the bad boys of the neighborhood. Never mind that she's married (oh, and it's the 1950s, by the way) and has a kid, the girl's horny enough to get it on on the beach. Well, a kind of kidnapping/threat-kinda thing occurs, none of which makes any sense, and all of which ends abruptly -- and mercifully -- with a tepid shootout.
Yes, that's Alicia on the cover of the DVD. No, that doesn't mean you have to buy it. Run away.
