• The buzz-y horror flick Paranormal Activity topped Saw VI at the box office, taking in an estimated $22 million. Will this be the end of the Saw series? And the beginning of an endless Paranormal Activity franchise?
• Mad Men's January Jones and Diane Kruger of Inglourious Basterds fame have joined the cast of Unknown White Male, a thriller starring Liam Neeson. We liked Kruger in Basterds, but we love Jones in Mad Men. Call us biased, but we think you'd agree.
• Mitchell Hurwitz discussed his plans for the Arrested Development movie, and gave updates on the state of the script. Do they still have to wait for Michael Cera to stop being the "flavor of the moment" before they start production?
• Mad Max 4 will commence production in Australia next year. Original writer/director George Miller will return, but no word on whether Mel Gibson is back. It's safe to say that Mel's career could use the movie, however.
• Ron Livingston (Office Space, The Time Traveler's Wife) has joined the cast of Jay Roach's comedy, Dinner for Schmucks. Hopefully his presence will make up for that terrible title.
