• The indie drama Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire took the top audience award at the Toronto Film Festival. OK, it's acclaimed and all. Now can someone please shorten the title?
• The estate for the late comic book artist Jack Kirby is seeking to claim rights to characters like Captain America and Thor in light of the recent Marvel/Disney merger. By the end of this, Disney could be left with nothing but Howard the Duck.
• The first photo of the A-Team van in action has been released. Still looks perfect for tailgating at Foghat concerts.
• The Michael Cera comedy Youth in Revolt has been delayed until January of 2010. Cera reacted to this news by stuttering and shrugging his shoulders to a mopey indie rock soundtrack.
• The first trailer for Harry Brown, a vigilante thriller starring Michael Caine, has been released. At 76, Michael Caine is tougher than ten Jason Stathams.
• Johnny Depp has expressed a lack of enthusiasm over the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie now that former Disney chairman Dick Cook has left the studio. Funny, our enthusiasm for a fourth Pirates wanes without Johnny.
