The Newsdesk 08.04.09 - First Look at Lovely Bones; Jackman Is P.T. Barnum

Charlize Theron and Sam Worthington will star in The Tourist, a remake of the French thriller Anthony Zimmer.

• A 30-second teaser for Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones has debuted. The first full trailer will debut on Entertainment Tonight this evening. Looks stunning. Well, expect for Mark Wahlberg's Partridge Family haircut.

• Steve Zahn has signed on to play the father in Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Oh course, he could also play the wimpy kid. Zahn's just that versatile.

• Netflix could soon be offering streaming movies to iPhones and Wii gaming systems. Because there's nothing better than watching The Godfather on a tiny phone screen and/or between games of Wii Tennis.

• Carla Gugino is reteaming with Watchmen director Zack Snyder for Sucker Punch. Emily Browning, Jena Malone, and more star in the movie, which sounds like Girl, Interrupted on acid.

Hugh Jackman will star in The Greatest Showman on Earth, a musical take on the life of P.T. Barnum scripted by Sex and the City writer Jenny Bicks. British singer-songwriter Mika is in talks to pen the music. It's safe to say this is going to be more Moulin Rouge! than Wolverine.
