For those that fear the broken heart more than the bite, there's Twilight. Fine. Let the tweens have their lovey-dovey vampires. For hardcore horror fans, there's Priest, an adaptation of the "horror Western" comic, on the way from Screen Gems.
The comic (from Korean artist and writer Min-Woo Hyung) follows Ivan Isaacs, a priest who sold his soul to the devil in exchange for fighting power. Armed with a wicked blade and silver bullets, he gives heretics a baptism of blood in his pilgrimage for humanity's redemption. The adaptation will be more of a vampire hunter story, with Isaacs tracking a band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece. The important thing is -- it's guaranteed to be a bloodbath!
