He's not your typical witch. Fans of the 1989 movie, Warlock, will be glad to know the character created by Julian Sands is back. Back then, he was compiling the pages of the Devil's Bible. Now, he's appearing on the pages of a new comic, on a mission to destroy a book because it contains a spell that imprisoned six other Warlocks. If he succeeds, his fellow Warlocks will be released into the world free to cause chaos and destruction. A rag tag group of folks try to stop him but, no doubt, he'll cast some cruel and gruesome spells on those that get in his way.
Bluewater is working with Lionsgate to develop the series, simply called Warlock, that picks up where the movie and two sequels (Warlock: The Armageddon, Warlock III: The End of Innocence) left off. But the writer, Nick Lyons, says it will also appeal to readers who know nothing about the horror series. The book will be drawn by Jacob Bear and colored by John Hunt with alternate covers by Matt Bellisle.
