There's so much horror out there, it's notable to mention what didn't make it on to the list this week... The Haunting of Molly Hartley, House, and Splinter are all fine-looking horror movies coming out soon, but not quite as buzzy as what we've got here. Friday the 13th rockets to the top on the strength of its new trailer, while Charles Burns gets in two slots. Happy Halloween week, people, it's time for the Horror Power Ranking:

AMC Fearfest '08 Yes, I'm a company flack. No, I don't care. I parked myself in front of the TV all weekend, and I'm not leaving until the 31st. Except, of course, for when I'm watching free movies online. It's like Horror Christmas! |

Friday the 13th Your comments on the Baby Jason scenes rocket Friday the 13th to the second slot this week (I still think you need Mrs. Voorhees). Oh, and the trailer is out. The footage doesn't show a lot of Jason (baby or otherwise), but it sure looks fun. |

Fear(s) of the Dark Last week's number one drops a bit due to the high level of chatter around Friday the 13th, but that doesn't mean we aren't in love with Charles Burns and company's animated horror movie. |

Black Hole ...another Charles Burns property which lost director Roger Avery, and writer Neil Gaiman. But where one door closes, another opens. Charles -- get the guys who made the above to make this movie, too. |

Let the Right One in It may look like it's fallen a few notches, but this Swedish movie is on the list for the long haul. As reader Bavota San says, it "was the best film I saw this year." It certainly is a far better than some other vamp pics (cough, Twilight, cough). |

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans I have a tremendous soft spot for action-horror, like the Resident Evil movies. So hooray for a new Underworld, which now stars Rhona Mitra, who seems to be making a career out of impersonating Kate Beckinsale. |

My Bloody Valentine 3-D If it seems like I'm loving everything this week, it's because I am. And what's not to love about a slasher with a miner's pick chasing a naked teenager through a parking lot... in 3D? I'm so there, it's not even funny. |

Saw V Oh Saw, how I love to hate you. You should be on top this week, as you're the biggest thing out there (other than High School Musical 3), but you're really starting to show your age. Perhaps Saw School Musical, next? |

Dimension Films Dimension will be releasing eighteen awful sounding direct to DVD films in 2009. However, there are two bright spots: Feast II (by all accounts, as fun as the original), and Feast III. Go Gulager, go! |

My Name Is Bruce Let's be fair: This isn't a horror movie, really. It's Bruce Campbell playing Bruce Campbell, star of the Evil Dead movies, in a plot straight out of Three Amigos (he's hired to fight a monster). But, you know... It's Bruce Campbell. |
