There are so many. And they certainly do run the gamut,
quality-wise. I refer to the
post-Saturday Night Live film career of Chevy Chase: Foul Play, Oh Heavenly Dog,
the various and sundry Vacations, Three Amigos, Spies Like Us and dozens more. AMC is showing Fletch and Fletch Lives this month, with Chase as
an investigative reporter and master of disguise. A third film in the series, Fletch Won, is
currently in production – it’s a prequel to the other two, and Chase will not
play the title role.
