Resembling something like a jiving Marsmallow peeop, Keepon has become something of an internet celebrity since his creation in a robotic labs in Japan. On one hand, he doesn't differ from many other dancing, rhythm-controlled robots: from a technology perspective, he's not much different than one of those plastic singing bass you can buy at Wal-Mart.
But Keepon is the ultimate dancing robot. His moves are fresh. He is adorable. And when you turn off the beat, he gives you a bug-eyed look of utter incredulity.Who could say no to that imploring face? You have no choice to put the music back on, even if you are a stuffy Japanese scientist.
If you're unfamiliar with Keepon, this video of him dancing to Spoon's "Don't You Evah" is one of the best. Are they mass marketing these yet?
