Carrie, Brian De Palma’s acclaimed adaptation of Stephen King’s classic novel, is the next feature on AMC’s “Fear Friday” (see showtimes). Of course, novel and movie have a few differences. Carrie was the first in a long line of big screen versions of King’s books and it is one of the few horror films to be nominated for a number of Academy Awards, but is it the best?
